This 42 years old female was having pain left flank region, pyuria and fever from 3-4 months. After USG and Xray KUB there was DJ stent seen on left side. She had left renal surgery 2 years back and got this stent inserted at that time.
According to patient, surgeon did not tell them for stent removal. 𝐄𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 occurs when there is calcium or magnesium precipitation from the urine on the surface of an indwelling stent followed by bacterial biofilms formation like in this patient.
