This male came to me for Dermoid cyst excision from neck region present in suprasternal noth from last 10 years. hair in dermoid were also present in this cyst. Dermoid cysts, also known as benign cystic teratomas, contain representative tissues from the three embryonic germ cell layers: ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm.
The lumens of dermoid cysts are filled with keratin and hair, and the walls are lined with mature skin appendages. Other contents of dermoid cysts include: sebaceous glands, sweat glands, smooth muscle, fibroadipose tissue, cartilages, teeth, and thyroid tissue.
